in my opinion, there isnt a single bad song on this album. i know a lot of people didn't like artpop, but I really love the sound of this entire album, its perfect to dance to and gaga's lyrics are amazing here.

LIVE THROUGH THIS // hole

live through this

alternative rock, 1993.

released only a few months after kurt cobain's death, the first live performances of this album are incredibly emotional. even though the songs aren't really about death or loss, you can really feel courtneys pain, both due to her personal life as well as her experience living as a woman. overall this album just makes me really emotional, as well as making me feel encouraged to get through whatever it is im currently going though.

// song reccomendations //

gutless, she walks on me.

// favorite lyric //

"i don't really miss god, but i sure do miss santa claus."

TWIN FANTASY (MIRROR TO MIRROR) // car seat headrest

*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*

twin fantasy (mirror to mirror)

indie rock, 2011.

*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*

not to be cringe, but i prefer this version of the album because i really like the crunchy sound of the audio. the low quality of it just kind of emphasizes the mood of this album to me. car seat headrest just makes me want to cry everything out of my skull (in a good way i think)

// song reccomendations //

sober to death, cute thing.

NORMAN FUCKING ROCKWELL // lana del rey
x

*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*

norman fucking rockwell

soft rock, 2019.

*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*

for me, nfr felt like a return to lanas old sound. and i mean that in a really good way, ive been a fan of lana for a long time, and for a while it felt like i wouldnt be into her music anymore. nfr brought me back to the first time i heard her music, but still it felt fresh and just sounds really beautiful. i also love her lyrics here, but i find it hard to find many of her songs that couldnt sound like poems when you read the lyrics. i still havent read her book though. also, a sublime cover ???> thats everything

// song reccomendations //

norman fucking rockwell, happiness is a butterfly.

// favorite lyric //

"you act like a kid even though you stand six foot two. self-loathing poet, resident Laurel Can-you-know-it-all- you talk to the walls when the party gets bored of you."
